METHOD AND STICK MIXES
What is the difference?
Method Mixes are usually required to bind
sufficiently so they can be moulded around method bombs, leads, cage
feeders etc, whereas stick mixes are designed to be fished in P.V.A.
sticks and can therefore be much drier as they are held in place by the
mesh. Stick Mixes are often also required to dissolve quite quickly to
conceal the hook link at either end of the stick.
Each of the following exclusive products has a proven
track record on still waters, canals and rivers and has been used to
attract all species of fish. In all cases, the finished mix contains a
combination of fine, water-soluble ingredients and larger insoluble
particles, in order to dissolve rapidly, sending out a strong food signal
that attracts fish into an area where they feed on the larger particles of
the mix.

ACTIVE FEAST
Active Feast is one of the most naturally attractive
method mixes on the market, containing a large percentage of freeze dried
insects and bugs that are not only irresistible to carp, but also very
effective in providing an exploding bait ball which rips apart on the lake
bed. As the mix breaks apart it releases water flies, snails, shrimps,
daphnia, insect eggs and other 'naturals' to all layers of the water
stimulating carp into a indulgent feeding frenzy. With fish recognising
natural food items on the bottom, in mid water and on the surface, they
are pulled down onto the baited area where the remaining feed (including a
Koi feeding stimulant) and the hook bait is situated.

CSL GROUNDBAIT
Pure Corn Steep Liquor Powder, maize extracts and
binders make up this distinctive, yeasty smelling method mix that is
extremely attractive to all species. Many combinations have proved
successful with CSL Groundbait as its natural aroma that can be described
as meat-like as well as yeast-like allows it to be combined with many
different liquid foods from our range.

| Tip: |
Mix 30ml/kg Liquid Yeast, The Key or CSL
Liquid with water when mixing CSL Groundbait. This adds another
fermentable, boozy aroma to an already very yeasty smelling method
mix. To increase the strength of the aroma, replace more of the
water with the liquid food or leave a ready mixed batch to ferment
over hours or even days prior to a session. |

LONG RANGE METHOD MIX +
BETAINE
Initially produced for use on large waters where long
casting distances is required, this product is formulated to ensure a
firm-binding mix that can be cast considerably further than most standard
method mixes. Containing the purest available Betaine, added Lactose
Concentrate B+ and high quality milk powders,
this is a carpet feed that attracts all species of fish but can still
easily be adapted with the addition of liquid foods.

| Tip: |
Even though this method mix is very
effective when simply mixed with water, it has proven very
successful with the addition of Super Cherry Amino at around
30ml/kg with the remaining liquid requirement fulfilled by water.
Carp
Chum and Super Slop are also
ideal for use with this mix as it has a very subtle natural aroma. |

METEOR STICK MIX
This extremely popular mix has been used by several
of the country's most high profile anglers with considerable success in
some of the least favourable conditions. Containing meat proteins, yeasts,
soluble fish proteins and other proven natural attractors Meteor Stick Mix
is suitable for use alongside many types of baits and will undoubtedly
pull fish into the baited area.
As mentioned at the start of this section, one key
component of stick mixes is the solubility of the attractors, which should
disperse as far as possible sending a strong food signal that pulls fish
into the baited area where a hook bait is presented; Meteor Stick Mix does
this particularly well, using additives from a variety of different
sources.
Residual sugars and salts from the high nutritional
value ingredients stimulate a sensory response from fish that encourages
them to feed in even the coldest temperatures, whilst not filling them up
on bulky food items.

For a devastating combination when
something different is required, try mixing Meteor Stick Mix with
Liquid Liver Extract to give a meaty stick mix which is highly
palatable to all species - when used for carp, this also seems to
be very 'big fish' selective.
Another exciting addition to this years

made from minced Herring, Mackerel, Pork Luncheon Meat and Salmon
Oil. This can be mixed at one tray of Carp Chum per kg of Meteor

TIGER NUT
METHOD MIX
This superbly light, nutty method mix instantly
starts working the moment it hits the water. Containing a very high
percentage of varying sized tiger nut particles, it also includes two
other very special ingredients to ensure the water immediately clouds with
a sweet milky aroma, enticing fish into the baited area. With your hook
bait situated right in the middle of a milky, tiger nut feast it is no
wonder Tiger Nut Method Mix is such an excellent loose feed or even spod
mix option.
