ESSENTIAL OILS
Whilst there are literally hundreds of essential oils
available we have selected the three following products, which can make a
considerable difference to the appeal of baits throughout the season.
With such an acute aromatic profile, essential oils are particularly
useful in winter when other flavours and attractors lose their
effectiveness. Although elevated levels of each oil can be used, we
recommend including up to 3ml per kg of base mix as a maximum.

Essential Oils and will consider requests for other specific oils,

ANISEED OIL
Used in pigeon conditioner-type particle mixes,
Aniseed Oil has a powerful aroma, which has been used for many years in
the hunting, fishing and shooting industries to attract and hold animals
in a certain area by their recognition of it. Due to the distinctive
essence of this oil, once baits containing it are established they can be
extremely successful over a long period of time.

| Tip: |
Pure Aniseed Oil will freeze at
reasonably high temperatures so may require 'warming' prior to use
in winter. When using it in particle mixes this problem will
obviously be resolved during the boiling process. Recommended
inclusion level: 1-2ml per kg depending on other ingredients and
additives used in the mix. |

BLACK PEPPER OIL
Probably used more than any other essential oil in
the production of carp baits, this strong spicy additive blends well with
fruit and savoury flavours. Black Pepper Oil can also be used at a low
level as the sole aromatic additive where baits derive their 'label' from
the dry ingredients they contain.

| Tip: |
During testing, Black Pepper Oil has
worked extremely well with our Concentrated Anchovy Extract,
producing a deep, spicy fish aroma and salty taste that fish
instantly switch on to. Recommended inclusion level: 2-3ml per kg
depending on other ingredients and additives used in the mix. |

NEW CLOVE
OIL
This strong, unforgettable oil that is often
associated with 'numbing toothache' is very popular in savoury baits but
also works very well alongside Cinnamon Oil. Use at low levels (at 1:4+
with Cinnamon). Use up to 0.5ml/kg..

GERANIUM OIL
For those who are unfamiliar with this oil, its aroma
is similar to that found in Turkish Delight. It has a flowery, light but
powerful smell that blends particularly well with sweet and creamy
flavours such as Ultra Creamy Condensed Milk, Ultra Scopex and Ultra
Condensed Milk Essence.

Geranium Oil has also been used to great
effect with the superb natural sweetener, Talin as well as our

NEW THYME
OIL
This herb-like, aromatic oil is incredibly effective
in baits. Many anglers will be unaware that it (and its active
ingredients) are widely used in flavour blending and in fact make a vital
part of one of the most successful flavours ever used. Use up to 1.5ml/kg.
