At CC Moore we feel very strongly that the quality of a base mix reflects directly in the effectiveness of the finished boilie. Base mixes made from high quality, digestible, naturally attractive ingredients have proved much more effective than those made from cheap, low quality ingredients, which often need to be 'masked' by flavours and colours in order to make them sufficiently attractive for fish to pick up.

Whilst our baits are undoubtedly softer than many others on the market, we regard this as an important indicator of their digestibility, solubility and natural attraction properties. In boilie production, a higher percentage inclusion of soluble ingredients not only tends to produce softer finished baits (unless high levels of binders are used) but also usually increases the attraction and digestibility of such baits. If ingredients are semi or fully water-soluble not only do they break down in water, sending out powerful food signals to fish, but are also much more easily digestible when passing through the fish's digestive system. If a boilie is partially water-soluble, just think how easily enzymes in a digestive system can break it down, particularly when it also contains enzyme-treated ingredients!

Using combinations of 'pre-digested' ingredients, milk proteins, vegetable proteins, meat proteins, egg, fish and shellfish products, each of the following base mixes can justifiably become a long-term food source that supplies essential nutrients, appetite stimulants, amino acids and enzymes to fish. With the inclusion of high levels of proven natural extracts and some ingredients exclusive to CC Moore & Co Ltd, we also believe these mixes are highly effective at presenting fish with something out of the ordinary that they will not have seen before. If fished well these baits will not let you down and can allow you to concentrate on location and presentation to get the very best results using these mixes.

Whilst we recommend the use of Liquid Odyssey XXX, Meteor and Odyssey with the relevant base mixes, each mix can be personalised with the addition of colours, flavours or additives if so required.
