Following on from his superb run of form using the new N-Gage XP Spencer Wright has struck again proving the performance of this bait in extremely low water temperatures.

This cracking looking fish turned the scales around to 41lb 12oz and was caught using a homemade white N-Gage XP 10mm hookbait fished with a small stick of containing crumbed N-Gage XP and Active Feast, fished amongst N-Gage XP freezer baits.

Spencer had something of a white knuckle ride when playing the fish, but eventually gained control.

He told us:

I then played it quite hard to get it over the bar and in the net as soon as possible. Within a minute she was in and I suddenly realised id bagged one of the big 3! I'm still hyped up now; to get a big December fish is certainly something special when you know how few fish have come out in the past two months. It makes all the baiting up and hard work worth it for just that one fish. I kept on saying to myself, if I can just get one more this year I will be happy - and now I am!
