Myles Gibson strikes again

Following on from his sensational early season capture of The Perch Common at 41lb 4oz, Myles Gibson returned to the Linch Hill Complex with his confidence understandably at an all time high for this time of year. Even though the weather conditions have not been particularly helpful for big fish anglers in recent weeks, Myles’ recent results ensured he was undeterred when arriving at the pressured Christchurch Lake venue.

Fishing his mid-week session, Myles dropped into his chosen swim and employed the same successful tactics which had already caught him a stunning 41lb+ common earlier in February. This saw him introduce the devastating combination of Live System (with a little modification), loose-fed maggots and a few handfuls of the big fish-selective Milkimin Pellets which waft around in the central layers of the water, pulling fish down onto the baited area.

Once into his session, Myles soon tempted this cracking 28lb 10oz mirror to take his bait proving that his tactics were again spot on.

After this pleasing capture the activity seemed to have declined once more, leaving Myles in doubt as to whether he would fish the next night.

However, on pondering his chances (and after getting a ‘pass’ from the boss) he thankfully decided to do the extra night and was handsomely rewarded with the immense ‘Box Common’ at an impressive 43lb 12oz.

That’s 2 x 40lb+ genuine UK commons in February for Myles!
Well done Myles, that really is a fantastic result.
