Kevin Hewitt's great start

Since recently joining the CC Moore Team, Cotswold-based big fish expert Kev Hewitt made short work of opening his account on his chosen Oxfordshire syndicate venue.

Using our Intense Hemp and White Haze Intense Cooked Particles, Kev fished with the devastating Acid Pear Hellraisers to nail 6 fish during his 36 hour session.

Kevin told us:

"I started off the session with a lovely 30lb 4oz mirror caught off the top during the first afternoon.

During the evening I baited two areas, one at 60 yards and one at 30 yards, both clear spots with the further spot being gravel and the close spot silt. I baited with hemp and white haze particle mix on both spots.

I received three takes the following morning off the long spot landing two twenties but sadly losing the third. During the afternoon I saw a few shows over the close spot so dropped two rods onto the spot and received a take from a 24lb common at 3pm followed by the magnificent ‘Slate Grey’ at 43lb 6oz at around 7pm.

Both fish fell to an Acid Pear Drop 10mm Hellraiser pop up fished critically balanced inside pva bags of mixed pellets. It was the first time the Slate Grey had seen the bank in over 9 months so I was extremely pleased! I finished the session off with a low 20 an hour after slipping back the big girl”
