Sandhurst on XXX

Over the last 3 weeks I've had three trips to Sandhurst, a total of 8 nights and a total of 41 bites, a couple of lost fish and 35 landed with the two biggest being the known mirrors Rosie at 34.06, and the Friendly Linear at 36.02, both of which were captured for the Carp TV cameras on consecutive mornings.

Bait wise, I have been experimenting with my new custom versions of the Odyssey XXX as well as the standard XXX. Almost all the fish have been caught over a scattering of 15mm boilies applied with the throwing stick over a wide area with 'single' hookbaits fishing in amongst them. Hookbaits have been a mixture of either my hand rolled, bright singles soaked in liquid Betaine, 14mm XXX air ball pop-ups soaked in a blend of XXX liquid and Feedstim XP or Betaine HNV hookbaits tipped with a grain of corn. Others have been caught over a spod mix of Amino Green Pellet, Intense Hemp and a healthy dose of Marine Amino Compound.

Many of the captures have been on tiny pva sticks using Belachan stick mix dampened down with a blend of Liquid Belachan and Liquid Bloodworm.
