When Stuart Andrews took N-Gage XP out for the first time during testing in November he had quite a shock.

Stuart reported:

“After 8 years of trying to beat my PB of 13lb 12oz, and having 7 x 13lb+ fish along the way, I finally cracked it last night.

I was offered a field testing opportunity by CC Moore to test their new N-Gage XP bait. I'd only had it a couple of days and popped down to my local fishery in Christchurch for a very short session after work. Within 40 minutes I was into a beautiful Barbel which turned out to be my new p.b. at 14lb 15oz!! Furthermore it was on my center pin so made a fantastic fight! After all those days and years, it all came right!

This was my 1st day using the NGXP. I used 5 baits crushed in a pva bag and a single 14mm on the hook. Bait positioning was critical as the river in the area I was in had become heavily weeded this year and clear spots are as rare as hens teeth. I managed to get bait down accurately, waited, then the result!!

Once the fish was on the mat, it was already passing the crushed bait through its vent.

What an amazing result, after 8 years of trying to beat my p.b. I managed it with N-Gage XP within 40 minutes on its first outing.”
