HYDROLYSED POULTRY PROTEIN

During 2009 we supplied ‘Squid Liver Extract’ powder to customers for addition to their base mixes and all kinds of high quality loose feed mixes. This product has been discontinued due to one of the ineffective ‘carrier’ ingredients (a very bland squid product) becoming banned for use in fish foods by European Union ministers. The result is that a significantly more effective, natural hydrolysed poultry-based protein powder, with the same nutrient profile, has been created to achieve the exact same attraction and feeding response. 

Do not be put-off by the difference in species between Squid Liver Extract and Hydrolysed Poultry Protein, this fantastic new product has displayed a noticeably higher level of performance than Squid Liver Extract but has a very similar appearance.

This potent natural powder has a proven track record as a highly effective fish attractant and has been used in the angling bait and aquaculture industry for some time. It’s distinctive taste and aroma is easily detected in baits when included at moderate levels and enable fish to associate baits that include it as viable food items.

Hydrolysed Poultry Protein is a soluble additive, which delivers essential amino acids that are easily utilised by fish in even the coldest water temperatures. When used in high quality, digestible, low oil baits it creates a powerful fish attracting food signal that will stimulate fish to feed in adverse conditions.

Often used with flavours such as scopex, Hydrolysed Poultry Protein can be used with birdfood, milk protein, fish meal or even nut based mixes with a variety of flavour combinations to create a successful year round bait which can be used as either a short term attractor bait or a long term food source bait.

Tip:

As a base mix additive: Hydrolysed Poultry Protein is a natural product so has no limit to its inclusion in base mixes. However, due to its powerful aroma we recommend using it at 3-7% (30-70g/kg) in mixes, with higher levels being used in stronger smelling base mixes.

As an additive for particles: Due to its solubility and powerful aroma, Hydrolysed Poultry Protein makes an ideal additive for particles. Simply add 10-20g per kg when boiling to give the particles a strong natural edge that stimulates a positive feeding response.

As an additive for pellets: Simply dampen your pellets with a liquid of your choice and then dust them in Hydrolysed Poultry Protein . This allows it to break down and soak deep into the pellets to give them a powerful boost of attraction. This can be done with any natural extract and is particularly effective when using Feedstim XP as the liquid choice.

As a stick/method mix or paste additive: Even if Hydrolysed Poultry Protein isn’t included in your hookbait/boilie mix it makes a very effective additive for stick/method and paste mixes. Add 20-30g/kg to your mix before mixing in the liquid of your choice.

As a dip additive: Being so soluble, Hydrolysed Poultry Protein is most easily mixed into dips after being mixed with water first. Although it can be mixed with almost any liquid, it has produced some very impressive results when mixed with water, Feedstim XP, Krill Amino Compound and Liquid Betaine.

After baits are dipped in a Hydrolysed Poultry Protein solution they can be left to dry, allowing a powder coating to form around the bait.
