David Escobosa
My love for fishing began in 1998 with classical carp fishing with sweetcorn and pike fishing with artificial products.
I started practising real carp fishing back in 2000, at the legendary reservoir called “El Vellón”. I consider it the birthplace of carpfishing in the central plateau area and maybe in all of Spain.

In 2006, after years of effort, some colleagues and I founded the fishing Club "El Vellón". I am a member of the management council, which controls the boundary of its own reservoir. My interest and dedication for this hobby increased more and more until became it a passion. I partnered my friend Pedro Gomez (good fisherman and better person) in the “ Madrid Territorial 2010 and 2011”. I also participated in the 2010 and 2011 “El Vellón League”, with two consecutive 4th positions (it is just round the corner!).
I have fished in many reservoirs in Spain, France and Portugal, but it is in the Spanish plateau where I have spent most time. My favourite places are “El Vellón” reservoir and the “Tajo” river. I try not to set fixed objectives, I prefer to learn from everything that surrounds me, in every fishing session with friends, in each official tournament, reading articles from another countries, internet, etc.. Every source is useful to increase your knowledge gradually and most importantly to learn the know-how of doing things, and recognize when it’s convenient to use it.
I love extreme carp fishing. On one hand, I like to inflate my boat and paddle with all my team to a hidden place, walking with light equipment through the bush, even in subzero temperatures in winter is not an impediment as the catches in these conditions tastes better!! On the other hand, I don't like crowded areas, I prefer to be unnoticed because of the strict law rules nowadays. My current personal record was in 2008 with a 46lb royal carp, and I’m not obsessed to overcome it, the results must come by its own way.
David Martin
My name is David Martin and I´m 29 years old. My life has always been related to water and fish. I come from a small city which is crossed by Tajo River, one of the largest rivers in Spain. Since I was a child fishing became one of the most interesting sports and hobbies in my life.
When I was fifteen years old I started to fish small carp and predators by myself using simple things as sweetcorn, maggots, baked potato …which allowed me to get my first captures.

Ten years ago I read an article about boilies in the fishing magazine that I used to buy frequently because I like to always be updated about fishing in general and Carp fishing in particular. Using these boilies I was improving the weight of my captures and now even though I regularly catch big fish. I always follow a rule; the greater number of captures, the greater number of big fish. I like to fish in all types of scenery and environment; a river, gravel, a small or big lake, with or without obstacles, with vegetation under the water.
I think that nothing is impossible but you must be very observant and persevere with your goals. I prefer to fish in more quiet and unspoiled places (not overcrowded) even though the medium size won´t be very big. Every year I have two objectives: to improve my results at my usual reservoirs or lakes and to discover and explore new places with big carps.
Official Competitions have been one of my new challenges during this year. In my first competition I was classified for the Spanish Final Championship 2012. CC Moore has helped me to achieve my goals this year thanks to their very diverse options and great variety of baits that are useful for every specific situation - however complicated it appears to be.
Jesus Cruz
My name is Jesus Cruz, I was born in Cáceres (Extremadura) in June 1980. I've always preferred fishing for fun, sacrificing other things.
I never liked to go fishing where anglers try to catch at all cost. I've always tried to find new venues, usually more difficult ones.

I prefer pristine wetlands which have often never been fished before, (friends call them secret lakes) as I think this is true pioneering carp fishing. There is nothing that makes me feel prouder than when I can get a good fish from a new site of which we have little knowledge, solving the mystery of what size carp inhabit the venue whilst introducing new foods to them in the form of boilies. It is amazing to know you're the only fisherman around a lake. I spend more time than I should really, but ... .. finally, the carp is there.
I do not like crowds, I think “three's a crowd” in carpfishing so I have not spent much time in the competitions, yet I have attended several national contests with good results.
Currently I try to help brands, retailers and shops to enter the Spanish market; the first shop I worked with was that of my friend Fran with which I began my journey with carpfishing. The project could not have gone better and the three and a half years have produced www.pescalibre.com physical store, which became one of the best online shops in the country and the place where you can publish your exploits as fishermen, photos, articles and materials testing. I have enjoyed my career as a very intense ‘carpista’ and have fished waters all over Spain with some trips outside the country.
This winter after the transfer of pescalibre I joined one of the best teams in the country, Black-Carp team which this year is renewed and restructured by creating another way to see the carpfishing www.masqcarp.com. Today I have the support and sponsor of Milo / M.Class / Spro. You can follow my blog www.carpfactory.com
Enrique Murillo Cid
My name is Enrique Murillo Cid, and I was born in Madrid in 1982. I've been fishing since the age 10 and specifically for Carp since 2004.
I specialise in fishing areas of high vegetation where obstacles are found; usually places where no one has fished before.

My earliest carp fishing campaigns took place at the Torcon Lake (near Toledo), with the largest catches of around 7 kg. This is a venue stocked with thousands of carps from 200g to 3 or 4 kg.
Now, one of my favourites venues is the Vellon Lake. This is a lake where I can practice my biggest hobby, Carp fishing.
My biggest captures include fish of up to around 36 pounds (Guadiana and Bolarque) which are very respectably-sized for this area of Europe.
My major achievements in competitions include being The Vellón Lake Open Champion 2009 and taking part in a match for the Championship of Spain, 2010.
Luis Fernando Diaz
Ever since childhood I have been totally devoted to Carp fishing. In all these years I have been evolving as a fisherman; it has been my obsession and goal to catch carp of all kinds and sizes from many types of water.
My love of Carp fishing is linked to tourism around Spain which increases my knowledge and understanding of many waters throughout all the Spanish territories offering me the opportunity to meet anglers whilst tackling environments and venues of all kinds.

Our greatest single aim was to be regularly involved in high profile angling competitions as a representative for a top bait company, and now we have seen this fulfilled; not only for myself but by all members of Team CC Moore Spain. This year we will enjoy to participating in the World Carp Championship.
I follow all CC Moore developments very closely using their superb baits in all kinds of fishing situations. They have consistently been giving me very good results and heightened expectations.
Arturo Carrasquilla López
I've been fishing for as long as I can remember but have been targeting big carp for around ten years. However, I enjoy fishing for species, including predators with artificial lures.
The majority of my fishing takes place in lakes and rivers near Madrid; I have never been attracted to ‘trendy’ venues which contain large fish that are caught regularly. My favorite waters are always those that present a real challenge!

When I go fishing I really like to catch high numbers of fish however the bigger they are the better (of course)!
I always ensure I don’t focus on one specific, pre-determined technique; I like to give the fish what they want.
Each situation requires a different technique, although I must admit that solid bagging and ‘carp snorkeling’ are my favorites. What I like about our hobby is to help people who want to learn, I have no secrets. If I can give you good advice, I will.
Although I love fishing in quiet surroundings I'm also involved in carp angling competition, either as judge or as a participant. Using CCM products we have achieved great victories in both open matches and in official competitions. I was Runner Up in the Vellón League 2007, Champion of the Metalcarp open 2008 and Champion of the Vellon open in 2009.
My personal best fish is 40lbs 8oz (Lake Bolarque) and my favourite current venue is Lake Vellón.
Daniel Sanchez
My name is Daniel Sanchez and I in Alcala de Henares near Madrid. I started Carp fishing around 1996 and feel that I was born to fish.
I particularly enjoy the pioneering side of angling, fishing venues that are not populated by numbers of anglers fishing for regularly caught fish.
In Spain we are very fortunate that there are still many places where you can fish in solitude without knowing what species or size of fish may be lured to your bait.

I have caught mirror carp to 19kg (Buendia) and common Carp to 18kg (Mequinenza) and have caught fish of over 15kg from five different locations and and am proud and very happy to be a team member for CC Moore Team Spain.
My chosen venues are dams like Almoguera , Zorita and Bolarque where I enjoy the exploration aspect of fishing almost as much as actually catching fish. My most used fishing methods include long-range bait rocket and pva bag fishing, often using my favoured Odyssey XXX and Marine Amino combination.
The greatest piece of advice I could give to any anglers is to forget worrying about chasing numbers and sizes of fish. If you tune into your surroundings and the water you are fishing then the rest will follow. If not, then your love of carp fishing will soon be lost.
David Flores
My name is David Flores. I was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1978 and ever since I was a kid I have been fishing, a love which my father instilled in me.
In 1998 I started Carp fishing whilst focusing my attentions at Lake El Vellón which showed me this great new way of life.

Since that moment I´ve dedicated hours, days and months to Carp fishing targeting many of Spain´s lakes and rivers. In the process I have caught spectacular common and royal carp as well as monster Comizo Barbel.
In 2007, together with some friends, we created the website Black-Carp to offer a different point of view about the exciting new sport of Carp fishing in Spain. Black-Carp is now one of the most technically in depth and popular Carp Fishing websites in Spain.
In 2007 I was Sub champion and in 2009 I was Champion of the Carp Fishing Championship of Madrid. I´ve always been selected for Carp Fishing Championship of Madrid and have attended the only 3 Spanish Championships of Carp fishing.
As well as being a CC Moore Team Spain member I am also a consultant for Gardner, Trakker and Ultima.
Ismael Gonzalez Corbacho
My name is Ismael Gonzalez Corbacho. I am 25 years old and a resident of Merida (Extremadura). When I was a child of only five years old I started fishing for the Black Bass, before in 1999 deciding to practice Carp fishing as my main fishing preference.

Since my switch to focus on my beloved Carp fishing some of my best catches include:
Common Carp of 23.550 kg from the reservoir of Tejero Oven and a stunning Mirror Carp of 20.100 kg from the Sierra Brava reservoir.
My favourite baits are obviously products from the CC Moore range, but more especially Odyssey, N-Gage XP and several flavours of the superb Hellraisers Dumbbells.
At present I am proud to say I am a member of one of the most famous teams in Spain, Black-Carp, and together with my great friend and colleague David Flores, we were 2009 champions at prestigious event in Madrid.
My goals for this year 2010 are to win the Carp Fishing Championship of Spain and to discover and learn new tactics and techniques in an attempt to break the common carp barrier of 24kg!
