Alex Bransby

Alex served his angling apprenticeship in the traditional way chasing coarse fish species of all types on a variety of venues in his local area. This more conventional but recently less common beginning to fishing stood him in good stead and undoubtedly contributed to what has blossomed into a very successful angling career.

Recognising the vital requirements for angling success is a skill that has remained with Alex since his early days and enables him to apply the tactics and techniques that give him the shortest route to success. This can be in the form of rigs, location and of course bait making Alex a versatile, thinking angler who is adept at making a fast, accurate assessment of the situation he is presented with.

Setting difficult angling targets is something Alex has often challenged himself with. Whether chasing a 30lb common, brace of 25lb+ fish or even a 40lb fish from a day ticket venue Alex can always stack the odds in his favour more than most using his impressive technical ability.
