BUCK WHEAT

This low-density 'pyramid shaped' particle has an inner kernel like Hemp Seed that can be exposed by boiling. Used in many early particle mixes, Buck Wheat has a valuable oil content which fish find attractive.

In the last year or two, Buck Wheat has seen something of a comeback. It has been used very successfully by a number of experienced anglers fishing very tricky, pressured circuit waters. They have reported to us that following several captures, fish have 'leaked' Buck Wheat shells into the sack. There seems little doubt that the natural profile of this rarely used particle has something about it that fish like.

Tip:

A mix of Hemp Seed and Buck Wheat, with a small addition of Feedstim XP to enhance the natural flavours, makes a superb loose feed that fish will feed on for long periods, returning time and again to mop up the small food items remaining.
