I decided to fish Wraysbury North Lake for a couple of hours while I was doing 48hrs on the south lake. I saw the fish cruising on the surface, so I got my floater rod set up and started to trickle some mixers in. I spent an hour or so building up their confidence and eventually they were feeding with gusto.
I cut down a Live System pop-up to look like a mixer and then hair rigged this to the hook length. I then decided to cast past the fish and reel back into them. There was a big mirror amongst the group and she was my target. I hooked the big mirror within minuets and my good friend Joel was there to net her. The fish turned out to be the Little Lin, a beautiful Wraysbury original at 33lb and a new surface PB.
